Thursday night at the Up Front Club ...
A bumper crowd filled the club to support Marianne Osborne and enjoy the opening party for her latest exhibition. Lots of familiar COMA faces there - and the usual table of those noisy Wittabergs ...
The show is a bright and bold collection of abstracts - very different to the whimsical faces and figures that we have come to expect from her.
"...Marianne is not afraid to take the risks necessary to enable progress in her work, and feels that all artists should take that leak into unsafe territory more often... "- Edith-Anne Murray
She says "... that most of these paintings were inspired by looking at a variety of weird substances through the lens of an old microscope ..."
The exhibition runs through September ... check it out - over the best coffee and muffin in Maleny !!!
